Glossary
A quick reference for the words used across Omni Store.
Add‑on — An extra capability you can buy on top of your plan, such as a custom domain or SMS credits. See Add‑ons.
Archived (product) — A product retired from sale and hidden from your storefront, but kept for your records. See Product status.
Barcode — A scannable code on a product for fast checkout. See Products.
Brand — The manufacturer or label of a product, used for filtering your catalog.
Category — The main group a product belongs to (e.g. Drinks). Also organises your storefront. See Categories & tags.
Collection — A section of your online storefront, drawn from a category. See Online storefront.
Cost price — What a product costs you. Used to calculate profit; never shown to customers.
Custom domain — Your own web address for your storefront (e.g. shop.yourbrand.com). See Custom domain.
Dashboard — Your at‑a‑glance home screen with key numbers. See Reports & dashboard.
Draft (product) — A product not yet live; hidden from sale and storefront.
Mobile money — Paying via a mobile wallet (MTN, Orange). Available for customer sales and for your own subscription.
Owner — The top role with full control of a store. Cannot be removed; one per store. See Roles.
Plan / tier — Your subscription level (Micro, Solo, Team, Pro, Enterprise), which sets limits and features. See Plans.
POS (point of sale) — The screen where you ring up sales. See Point of sale.
Product cap — The maximum number of products your plan allows.
Promotion — A discount applied at checkout to a customer's purchase. See Promotions.
Published (product) — A live product, sellable at the till and visible online.
Role — The level of access a team member has (Owner, Admin, Manager, Seller, Inventory handler, Viewer). See Roles.
Scope (promotion) — What a promotion applies to: the whole order, or specific products, categories, or tags.
SKU — Your internal stock code for a product.
Slug — The short name in your storefront web address (e.g. my-shop). See Store profile.
Stock movement — A recorded change to a product's stock — a sale, void, or adjustment. See Inventory.
Tag — A flexible label applied across products for filtering and promotions. See Categories & tags.
Trial — A free period to try a paid plan before being charged. See Manage your subscription.
Usage cap (promotion) — A limit on how many times a promotion can be used.
Void — Reversing a completed sale, returning items to stock. See Voids & refunds.
White‑label receipts — Receipts showing only your branding, with no "Powered by Omni Store" line. Included on paid plans.
